Grant-Lee Phillips is best known as the golden voice and poetic vision at the front of the alternative roots rock trio Grant Lee Buffalo. Soon after the band released their 1993 debut album, Fuzzy, Grant-Lee found a rapidly growing following for his searching, sweepingly cinematic songs. In addition to his superb songwriting, Grant-Lee was voted best male vocalist of 1995 by Rolling Stone magazine. Pursuing his solo career following the band's breakup in 1999, the singer has released a series of CDs, most recently Little Moon.
