Texas Prize. With the finalist receiving an unrestricted $30,000 prize, the biennial Texas Prize is one of the largest and most significant awards for an emerging Lone Star State artist. The three 2012 finalists are Houston artists Jamal Cyrus and Will Henry and Austin artist Jeff Williams. Each is invited to create a singular solo project. And the winner will be announced May. 19.
