Mexic–Arte Museum presents the revolutionary artworks of master printmaker, Arturo García Bustos. The selected print works unveil decades of carefully crafted social commentary chronicling the political struggles within México and abroad. May 5-July 8, 2012

“Miguel Aragón: Fractured Memories, Assemble Trauma.” Aragón plums the ongoing drug-related violence in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico culling images from Mexican newspapers to use as the basis for his ethereal and emotionally effecting prints. Digitally… Show more manipulating the often gruesome news images, Aragón then reduces the details image by cutting into the paper with a hand drill. The result are ghostly beautiful images of the aftermath of violence. Exhibit opens Saturday and continues through July 18.
