City of Lakeway 4th of July Celebration

The 4th of July is the biggest celebration of the year in Lakeway! Come and enjoy our famous old-fashioned 4th of July Celebration! We have activities that the whole family can enjoy. The traditional schedule of activities is as follows:

8:30 a.m. - Parade on Lakeway Drive from Live Oak Golf Course to the Lakeway Church at the intersection of Lakeway Drive / Lakeway Blvd. Click here for a Parade Entry Form!

8:40 a.m. - An Army Helicopter will be on static display at the Activity Center, 105 Cross… Show more Creek, until approximately 12 Noon(weather permitting)

8:50 a.m. - Two F18 Navy Fighters will fly over the parade route (weather permitting)

10:30 a.m. - Pageant of the Flags at the Lakeway Activity Center, 105 Cross Creek, featuring a keynote address by our Grand Marshals this year, military couple Major Michael Mendieta USMC and Major Shelly Mendieta USAF, patriotic music, speeches and parade awards.

12 Noon - Lakeway Swim Center is open for fun until 9 p.m. $3.00 all day. Located at 3103 Lakeway Blvd.

7:00 p.m. - Block Party and Concert from 7 - 10 p.m. at Swim Center Park adjacent to the Swim Center. Free parking is available at Serene Hills, Elementary School and on surface streets. Dance in the tent! BYOB! Food options for purchase include WhaTaTaco and Dock 'n Roll Diner food trailers. Also, Kona Ice Austin. Onsite for the kids will be a Superslide and LaserTag - and don't forget - The pool is still open until 9 PM with in-and-out privileges!

10:00 p.m. - Happy 4th of July from the City of Lakeway! There will be no fireworks this year due to extended drought conditions.
