2012 Upward Basketball & Cheerleading

Upward Basketball & Cheerleading Upward Sports, the world's largest Christian sports league for children, provides a fun kids sports experience based on healthy competition. Boys and girls in grades 1-6 learn the fundamentals of basketball and cheerleading while also learning about God, his Son Jesus and memorizing scripture.
Registration for the 2012-2013 season begins on September 1. Early registration can be done online and the cost is $85.00 (plus applicable fees) and runs through October 18.… Show more This price includes basketball jersey, t-shirt and shorts.  After October 18 registration can be done in person at Bannockburn Baptist Church. The cost will be $95.00 and will run through November 1. This price includes basketball jersey, t-shirt and shorts.
Cheerleading is for girls in grades 1-6 and the registration cost and dates are the same. The price includes cheerleading uniform, pom poms and megaphone.
The Upward brochure which includes the registration information as well as the liability release information that is needed can be downloaded here . Bring the form with you along with your child to one of the listed evaluations/orientations.
Evaluations and Orientations will be held at Bannockburn Baptist Church Family Center/Gym. Everyone must attend one basketball evaluation or cheerleading orientation. Siblings may be evaluated on the same night. Cheerleaders need to be measured for uniform only.
Evaluations are come and go between the listed times.
 
1st and 2nd grade boys/girls: Monday, October 15, between 6:00 PM and 7:30 PM 3rd and 4th grade boys/girls: Tuesday, October 16, between 6:00 PM and 7:30 PM 5th and 6th grade boys/girls: Thursday, October 18, between 6:00 PM and 7:30 PM
Practices will begin the week of November 26 . Teams practice once a week for one hour.
First Game will be Saturday, January 12, 2013 . Teams play one game a week on Saturday for eight weeks. Games last one hour. This includes the cheerleading team, one game every Saturday for eight weeks.
