Science Faculty Collaborative Regional Workshop – Austin

 
 
The Science Faculty Collaborative of the College and Career Readiness Initiative is pleased to announce a free regional workshop at the Crowne Plaza in Austin. The workshop aims to improve & promote the effective teaching of science education in Texas as part of the Closing the Gaps initiative. The workshop will focus on teaching the nature of science, scientific applications of mathematics, and the use of technology in science, incorporating the College and Career Readiness Standards.  
The… Show more workshop will be presented by Dr. Jennifer Mount on November 16 th, 2012 at the Crowne Plaza in Austin. The workshop will take place from 12:00-5:00 pm, and will include lunch. Jennifer Mount is a senior lecturer at Texas State University in San Marcos for the Physics Department, and an active member of the Science Faculty Collaborative.
 
There is no charge for registration, but attendance is limited.
