Presentation Abstract :   High dynamic range RF measurement systems are increasingly required as bandwidth and spectral… Show more efficiency demands have driven the performance of RF communication systems. This tutorial covers signal chain design for high dynamic range in such measurement systems. The signal chain has to be optimized for linearity and noise. Graphical techniques for identifying weak links in the signal chain will be covered.
Biography :   Jaffar Shah is a Chief Engineer at National Instruments. He received his BSEE and MSEE degrees from University of Texas, Austin. He has worked on data acquisition and control products in design as well as development management roles early in his career and provided technical leadership for the some of the company’s first high speed digitizer and arb products. Presently, as a member of the Analog Measurements and Technology Group, he has responsibilities for RF measurements systems design.
