It was just a matter of time before someone found a way to capitalize on the mud run phenomenon. Well this crew is the first that I know of and they are raking in some cash and thus far have done not much more than build a website (full of a long list of cancellation disclaimers and no-refund policies) and spent a few bucks on Austin360 and Facebook marketing their efforts. You can even go back (for now, until they read this) on their facebook page and see just how many times the date has now changed for this event (3 times, each time with a new excuse where they pass the buck to some government entity and claim, "they asked us to move to a bigger venue" or some b.s. like that). And this last time there were countless people that were never notified that the date had changed from April to June and they even showed up for the event to find nothing! Again, just look at their facebook page, they aren't even smart enough to delete this stuff. So, In approximately one month the entire thing will likely be postponed again as this is a group of amateurs who don't know what they are doing and they are making it up as they go along. And one only need read through the facebook posts since this event's inception to see how they never have straight answers for straight forward questions because they actually don't know themselves, even at this point as the "race" is a month away. Save you money, or throw them $45 and never see it again and just keep your schedule open for every remaining weekend ad infinitum and maybe just maybe this crew will actually figure out what they are doing and perhaps pull this off, or if not, just read the fine print when you click that check box for registration, cause you ain't getting a refund UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Oh yeah and as for the donations to make a wish? Not only do they not tell just how much "of a portion" they will be giving to Make a Wish (a breach of Make a Wish rules, I checked) But there is also a field AFTER you add in your registration for YOU to make your donation. These guys are a class act. Save your money, find another race and forget you ever heard of this race and tell your friends to do the same. RIPOFF!
