Despite what you might guess from their name, Frank Smith is a band, not a solo act, and no one in the band is named either "Frank" or "Smith." Instead, Frank Smith is six guys who play country-infused indie rock with smarts and an emotionally ragged edge....
Often compared to the White Stripes for their stripped-down sound and Daniel James' vocal sound (which bears a certain resemblance to Jack White), Leopold & His Fiction play what the band likes to call "vintage rock," music that fuses elements of blues, folk-rock, garage rock, and roots music into a style that feels at once rough and cohesive, with a warmth and emotional honesty that coheres with the energy of the music....
