Austin Salon Poetic Featuring Dillon McKinsey and P.O.W.

The Austin Salon Poetic is a poetry open mic that takes place on the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month. The open mic is FREE and open to the public 21 years of age and older. The Austin Salon Poetic is hosted by Michael Aaron Casares and brought to you by Virgogray Press, an independent poetry publisher organizing to showcase the local poetry talent, as well as host regional and national poets.
It is our hope to add to the ensemble and deepen the already rich literary culture of Austin, TX.

The Austin… Show more Salon Poetic takes place at the former Headhunters Club, now called Club Metal & Lace, on the corner of 8th Street & Red River. Metal & Lace is a "Steampunk" themed bar, with nice decor to regale the attendee for hours, a friendly staff and great drinks. If you would like to share your work in a friendly and respectful environment, come on out. All types of poetry are welcome from traditional to read, and performance to slam. A round robin open mic will follow any scheduled features.
