Art and the Other: Homelessness

Join us on Friday, February 22nd, at 7 p.m. for the first installment of our Lenten series Art and the Other: Can We See Each Other? at All Saints’ Episcopal Church.

Art and the Other: Homelessness will feature a special presentation by Michael O’Brien, renowned portrait photographer and two-time winner of the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award. Michael will share images and reflections from his work Hard Ground, a collection of elegant portraits of the homeless that celebrates our common humanity.… Show more Following Michael’s presentation, there will be a panel discussion on homelessness in Austin with special guests Michael Gerber, President and CEO of the Housing Authority of the City of Austin (HACA), Sharon Lowe, Executive Director of Foundation for the Homeless, and Tim Irvine, Executive Director of the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs.
