Food is great service is awful!!

Went there the first time in the morning and everything was delicious i tip the waitress good. The second time i went the server was talking about us to other customers saying "i hate when i have to take care of teenagers they never tip" and things of that sort, then she never once asked to refill my wifes coffee and kept talking about her christmas with the customers a cross from us instead of waiting us. I finally decided to email the owner (you can do that on there website) and he replied that the he talked to her and she assured him that she didnt do any thing like that. I mean there were so loud i can tell you waht she got for Christmas! Loved the food but wont go back there again I will not be desrepected for no apparent reason.

How to entirely ruin a customer's experience at a restaurant?

Take over 10 minutes to get the food order, tamper with a drink, and send an indignant/hostile owner over to resolve the issue.

Via a recommendation for this place from our roommate, we thought we'd stop in for a late lunch. Our drink order was taken and brought out promptly, but when 'a couple more minutes' were requested to decide on food, it took over 10 minutes before we got up to find our server and get drink refills. She then seemed perturbed that we needed to get up to find her, and the next round of drinks tasted way off. One drink in particular had a distinct taste of cleaner/mop water/who-knows-what, completely turning us off to the whole meal. Still receiving no check-back service after getting the food, we requested a manager and got the owner instead. He came to the table and after being informed of the cleaner taste in the drink, he completely went off, saying that the claim was 'ludicrous' and had no apology to make whatsoever. He said that, "I know I'm supposed to stroke you and say I'm sorry, but that's a ridiculous claim and I can't have you saying those things about my restaurant." Had he actually given a genuine apology and offered to pay for the food we hadn't even touched, perhaps he could have avoided this review, but to attack a paying customer with a legitimate complaint is plain wrong. On our way out the door, he said, "You probably do this all the time!" Well he's right. Every time we receive a drink that tastes like Pine-Sol we do complain, this just happens to be the only time we've had such luck. This was easily the single worst dining experience I've had. Of all people in a restaurant, the owner should know better than to speak that way to a customer. For shame.
