reTREEt America returns to Bastrop!
The weekend of January 26TH + 27TH, 2013, reTREEters will plant around 650 trees on numerous private properties in the Circle D-KC and Tahitian Village areas. We are especially excited that 500 of those will be Drought Hardy Loblolly Pine saplings grown specifically for the recovery of the Lost Pines Forest, among the first of 4,000,000 to be planted in the area! 6:00PM —… Show more Join us in Austin for a night on the town! Perennial reTREEter Patrick Beyer has arranged a welcome party at Mockingbird Domestics (2151 South Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX 78704). The night will evolve from there, and a good time in the music capital of the Us is all but guaranteed.
We have reserved the entire Kimber Modern (110 The Circle, Austin, TX 78704) for accomodations that night. Space at the Kimber Modern is limited, so email grady@retreetamerica.org Asap if you want to stay there with us. The Hotel San Jos É, right across the street (1316 South Congress Avenue, Austin, TX), is also highly recommended.

FRIDAY, January 25TH, 2013
10:30Am — Ride bicycles to Bastrop, TX, a distance of about 40 miles ( Click Here For The Bicycle Route ).
Afternoon — Eat lunch & load supplies for the weekend.
6:00PM — Meet at Pecan Street Inn (1010 Pecan Street, Bastrop, TX 78602) for dinner.
*All reTREEters should be in Bastrop by 5:00PM on Friday and checked into Hampton Inn (240 South Hasler Boulevard, Bastrop, TX 78602 ) .
*Those flying into Aus on Friday will be brought to Bastrop by reTREEt America. If possible, please try to arrive in Austin between 2:00PM - 4:30PM .

Saturday, January 26TH, 2013
8:00Am — Meet at Pecan Street Inn. We will spend Saturday morning planting trees, with support from Bastrop Tree Service . After a break for lunch, reTREEters will ride bicycles through Bastrop State Park.
6:00PM — Dinner at Bastrop Brewhouse (601 Chestnut Street, Bastrop, TX 78602). Entertainment will be provided by Ducado Vega .Â

Sunday, January 27TH, 2013
9:30Am — Meet at Pecan Street Inn for a second day of planting.Â
3:00PM — Planting ends, and those reTREEters who need to get back home Sunday night will begin to depart. Those who remain are encouraged to join us for a ride around town, or just relax.

RIDE To The Coast (January 28TH - February 1ST)
Though Bastrop reTREEt officially ends on Sunday, January 27th, reTREEt America Board Member Stuart Crow invites all reTREEters to come on a cycling adventure the following week. We will ride to the Gulf of Mexico from Bastrop, then Ne up the coastline. Distance for the week will be about 350 miles. Details, based on interest, TBA. Come as you are and be prepared to support yourself, keeping in mind that the reTREEtmobile will be on hand.
