A stirring look at an idiosyncratic idealist whose sacrifices were cheapened by others with less stringent codes of honor, "The Tillman Story" links its subject to broader military ills while proving that the linebacker-turned-Army Ranger - along with the unusual and determined family that produced him - really is a subject remarkable enough to deserve the attention he has received since his death.
