Not Enough Story
Too much salaciousness. It would have been a much better film with a quality story and acting. Gere must be needing a pay check and more work by sintillating movie goers. Looks like the long time director wasn't concerned about art, just wanted to go out with scintillating the audiences.

BROOKLYN'S FINEST
IS A RIVETING RIDE! Yes, it has intense scenes like the wake drink and empty gun in the mouth with gere. It is beleivable and yes, it actually happens in real life. Hawke and others offer up FINE PERFORMANCES. mAY BE SNIPE'S BEST FRICKIN movie...yes, the best performance he has ever given...just stunning and more alive than the Departed.

During an early scene in "Brooklyn's Finest," the latest from "Training Day" and "Shooter" director Antoine Fuqua, burned-out New York City policeman Eddie (Richard Gere) is jolted from sleep by an alarm clock. Rising from a sheetless bed, he pours a glass of liquor, puts a gun in his mouth and pulls the trigger. It doesn't fire. (Full review)
