The Lovely Bones

If the afterlife resembles anything like it does in Peter Jackson's "The Lovely Bones," plan on packing a pair of hardy outdoor shoes, sunglasses and a daub of sunscreen when you die. This "blue horizon between heaven and Earth" is a luminous wilderness of misty rainbows and verdant glens, swaying fields of golden wheat, butterflies and cherry blossoms and waterfalls. It's an airbrushed limbo land that, hard as I try to block the vision, recalls the blissed-out neon idylls of "My Little Pony."
