The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey -- An IMAX 3D Experience

Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) lives a simple life with his fellow hobbits in the shire, until the wizard Gandalf (Ian McKellen) arrives and convinces him to join a group of dwarves on a quest to reclaim the kingdom of Erebor. The journey takes Bilbo on a path through treacherous lands swarming with orcs, goblins and other dangers, not the least of which is an encounter with Gollum[C21]and a simple gold ring that is tied to the fate of Middle Earth in ways Bilbo cannot even fathom.

This movie is not "sluggish", it's an epic now!

Don't believe the bad national reviews about how this movie gets bogged down with too much talking and extra scenes. This movie is fun and a lot deeper than the original novel. It's expanded by some very interesting and important backstory not in The Hobbit novel, but you can feel that it's all adding up to something greater than the novel, and another great trilogy from Peter Jackson!
