On the last night of their idyllic Greek vacation, longtime lovers Jesse (Ethan Hawke) and Celine (Julie Delpy) reminisce about their lives together and what different choices might have brought.
Over the span of 18 years and three exceptional movies, director Richard Linklater and his collaborators Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy have charted the birth, growth, crescendos and complications of love.
Well written and performed as were the first two movies in the trilogy, but this third installment leaves the viewer despair for what might have been. It's something of a downer, but leaving that aside, it still cannot be called a perfect movie.
