Ronald Pickup

Trained at the RADA, Ronald Pickup made his London theatrical bow in 1964. Since that time, Pickup has played an abundance of Shakespeare on stage and television: his bravura 1984 performance as Titus Andronicus on the BBC/PBS Shakespeare Plays series can make the flesh creep even when one is only thinking about it. In films from 1968, Pickup has played such prominent roles as Stravinsky in the 1980 biopic Nijinsky.
