Iggy & The Stooges

Because they only played one show in the UK, the whole legend of Iggy Pop and the Stooges came from film footage, blown-up stories and three monumental albums. If anyone has ever embodied the whole punk rock ethic it is this band. Many have come close - none have eclipsed them. In 1969, they were aural leprosy - visually repellent.
