Lucky Dube

Born in South Africa in 1964, Lucky Phillip Dube was one of South Africa’s most popular and commercially successful reggae artists. Although he began his career playing mbaqanga (Zulu pop music), the influence of classic Jamaican reggae by artists like Jimmy Cliff and Peter Tosh changed Dube’s sound.
